Your opening slide is awesome-the 4 suns? I felt the glory of early fall in all the creatures as they go about their business in the grand scheme of the universe! Hugs to you, Sherry, as you also go about your business. . .carol
Hi Sherry........Really uplifting......you have had so much wildlife in your garden.....I cannot believe how many butterflies.....did I see a hairstreak?
I am not sure yet if I will do safari sunday........we have so little insects at the moment......it is supposed to be sunny on Sunday, so will see if I can get any shots.......
Hi Sherry, I just love acoustic music. This sounded great. Iloved the picture of the little carolina wren about to take off. That is great getting a picture of a gray hairstreak with open wings. You hardly ever even see that. Have a good weeknend.
Dear Sue, Thank you. Having the macro lens has expanded my picture taking capabilities. This musical piece is called Nostalgia Trails from the cd Four September Suns by One. The musician is Tino Izzo. I enjoyed this cd all month. Sherry
Dear Carol, Thank you. My house is all decorated for October! This weekend I will do up the gardens. This cd has been very enjoyable. I bought it based on the cover and title. I am so glad I took a chance. Namaste, Sherry
Dear Cheryl, Yes, the Grey Hairstreaks are out now! I usually see them once the Live Forevers bloom. Lots of butterflies and bees. It is still warm in the afternoons. A cold front is to move in next week. I think one more Sunday safari for me. Come October we are on a Halloween countdown! It has been fun bug hunting with you this summer. Thank you. Sherry
Dear Lisa, Little Carolina Wren has been bringing his little one to the deck. I have just been awed by these two. He comes and sings while the little one hunts for bugs. The Gray HAirstreak does open it's wings a wee bit when resting. It was not very warm either so maybe Hairstreak needed some basking. Have a great weekend too. I am doing my outside decoarating, should be fun. Sherry
Dear Mary, Those rotten House Sparrows!! I am getting after mine too. Teakettle will come back to your feeders as will all the sweet birds. Hugs, Sherry
Dear Marmee, Nice to take a break. This will be my meditation now for the week. Each morning I will come to Corner and clear my mind. I will be grateful for nature and my friends who come and share this experience with me. Namaste, Sherry
Hi Sherry, Thanks for stopping by and leaving your kind words. I see you love nature like I do. I love the pictures and feel the peace of your environment. How wonderful it is so have abundant butterfly's and birds of color.
I liked the ending - clouds..... as if we come out of the sky and return to it. Loved your fall colours and butterflies. I thought the bluejay was going to speak! He looked so stern! I really enjoy your friday slide shows. Have a nice weekend!
Hello Sherry About my autumn wreath.. The wreath is protected under a small roof against sun and rain. After a while the colour will fade. Bittersweet and Mountain Ash berries make a nice combination for a wreath as well. Just watch the birds come for lunch:) Cheers Gisela.
Dear Wendy, Thank you! I am always delighted when others enjoy the slide shows. Mr. Blue does speak to me! He is a funny bird. May you also have a wonderful weekend. I am out decorating the gardens for October! Hugs, Sherry
Dear Gisela, Thank you for responding about your lovely wreath. I bought a wreath stand last week and I think I will put it on my porch. I think I will use the vines and outdoor delights to make the wreath and decorate it with dried pretties I find on my winter walks this year. I think you are right the birds will love it! Namaste, Sherry
Dear Grammy, The bugs and birds in the backyard are dear hearts. I love them all! I have all sorts of warm winter clothes too so I can sit with the birds when it is very cold out. Autumn is a lovely time of year. The light is soft and the sky so blue.... It is a pleasure getting to know you. Namaste, Sherry
Sherry, I always enjoy your Friday slideshow, and it gives me a chance to catch up on your week's posts. You have so much still going on in your garden! I think the bumblebees and dragonflies have left me for the winter, and I'm afraid the hummingbirds may be on their way, as well. So sad, but I know they will be back next spring. Mr. Bluejay is quite handsome!
Dear Rose, The Friday slide shows are a nice way to see thr past week. I do have lots of blooms and bugs and birds still. The Hummingbirds are still coming to the feeders, the males have gone on but the kids are about. I will keep the feeders up for migrating Hummers. Often the gardens have blooms until November. I have seen Question MArk butterflies on a warm January day! Mr. Blue Jay is a funny bird. I am pleased the Mockingbirds are back. I miss them when they leave after raising their young. I think they go to rest and molt. Thank you for your comments and your support. Sherry
