Harvest Moon

I was out on the deck at sunrise.

I did not want to miss a moment of this
Harvest Moon day.

I harvested my bittersweet.

As the vines dry the berries open.

I am planning my Harvest Moon soup and tomato sandwich supper.
I would like to watch the Harvest Moon rise and make my wish.
The Harvest Moon is my favorite full moon of the year.
Happy Harvest Moon.
May your wishes come true.

It cleared last night and we saw moonlight. It's overcast this evening, though.

The bittersweet is beautiful!

Dearest Sherry,

The photos are so pretty. The bittersweet is especially gorgeous!

I've been feeling bittersweet lately.

Perhaps it is he time of year, though I really love autumn,

Your bittersweet is so pretty. My bittersweet doesn't have enough berries to even pick to dry.

The coloring on the Cardinal is unique. The morning light must have had lots of blue rays. We had lots of fog.

Dear Mimi,
Thank you! I spend time with the moon every chance I get. I think I am a moon lady.

Dear Pat,
So happy you were able to spend some time with the moon. I enjoy walking under her in the evenings and watching her set in the mornings.
The bittersweet has grown so much in the last couple of years. I think I will need to really cut it back this year.
My house will fill up with bittersweet vines!
Glad you were not too hard hit by Ike.

Dear Sprite,
I began growing bittersweet after I no longer could find it growing wild on the roadside. I had read that Missouri Bittersweet was endangered because of all the spraying. Mine has taken off this year and I have a huge harvest.
My living room and dining room windows have long swags of bittersweet surrounding them. I may keep it up through out the winter too. I think it is lovely. The color speaks to me.
I also love autumn and have the bittersweet feeling. I know the days of playing with the butterflies and dragonflies is coming to an end for this year. I have lots of work to do too getting the flowers beds ready for winter.
Thinking of you and sending wishes of love,
Moonbeans and pokadots,
Sherry

Dear Lisa,
It took about four years for my bittersweet to really take off.
I thought she looked "blueish" too.
Light is amazing.
I love the look and feel of fog. We have very little so whenever we do have some I am facinated.
Fog makes the world seeem soft.
Moonbeams and pokadots,
Sherry

Happy Harvest Moon to you. It was overcast here so I couldn't even get a glimpse.
