cool idea i will have to think about this one a while.
My Grandmother lived in a house near the church in a small town. Between her house and the church was the cemetary. We had to walk from the town center home during summer through the cemetary. My uncle would hide behind the tombstones, jump out and scare the dickens out of me. I ran through there as fast as my little legs would take me. ha... fun memory. Scary too.
LoL That looks like hubby when he gets made. HA HA I can't stop laughing. Grammy
Oooooo - where to begin? It was a dark and stormy night.....witches were flying about on their broomsticks. Mother Moon was watching them, hoping that nobody would smack into her. Don't laugh....one Halloween one of the littlest witches really did!You see, she had just learned to fly that week. So still had a lot of practicing to do. The moon that night was just a slice - just a faint crescent in the sky. Poor Littlest Witch was looking down, trying to see if she could find any real black cats. There were plenty of children dressed as black cats, but the real ones were hiding. So, eyes turned towards the Earth, she wasn't looking and......Smack! Right into Mother Moon's pointy tip. Ouch! That was last Halloween. And wouldn't you know, this Halloween it was raining. Mother Moon slipped in and out of the clouds, or rather, the clouds floated over her face.....then her back....she suspected they were playing tricks on her. How was she going to light the way for all the little children trick-or-treating for Halloween if those silly clouds kept covering her light?Hmmmmmm. somebody want to finish this story??Loved your owl all lit up!
My story? There are too many to tell. But you are right: we do all have our story. If you're around someone long enough you hear then tell it over and over in various ways (sometimes the same way), and in how they live. My story is a quest to transcend my story and find new ones.
We absolutely think our house is a little haunted! The door, locked, opens up every single night in the fall and winter. We've had the latch fixed... but...
Sherry, I can't get passed that first silly green man... lOL!
Perfect book to read on Halloween night. Marnie
When I was little we would sometimes visit my grandparents in a little town in northern New Mexico. They had a small house and I would always sleep on the couch in the front room. Directly across the street was a borded-up house that my grandparents told me no one would buy because there had been a murder in it.I always had a hard time falling asleep on that couch. It faced a picture window that looked across the way, perfectly framing that spooky, borded-up house.Happy Halloween Week!
Dear Sherry.......a fun idea......BUT you might be interested to know that this old house I live in is said to have a ghost.......many people that come here say that they can feel her presence......I am not sure but the house certainly has a feel to it, something you can't quite put your finger on.........I should hasten to add the ghost is friendly.......
Halloween ... the perfect excuse for "story telling" :-)Wonderful Halloween decorations!
