Christmas Eve Delights

The Carolina Wren delights me.
He seems to be a very happy bird.

The Cardinals fill my world with radiant color.
Each one different. Each one beautiful.

The House Finches mingle with the Purple Finches.
I love their little sounds.

I think the Black Birds are elegant .

There are many birds in the backyard today.
Many darlings to be delighted with.
May you find delight in your backyard.

I tend to not like certain birds that are more numerous or may not have manners I approve of or something, and I can't even tell you why I have not been fond of black birds, but you have made me stop and think about why I feel that way when you said they are elegant. The one in your photo is quite elegant!

Merry Christmas!

Dear Sue,
I think the black birds are very beautiful. They are smart too. I fell in love with them when the Baltimore Orioles began coming to my backyard a few Springs ago. They are in the Black Bird family, the Icterids, as are the Red Winded Black birds. I think the steel gray beak is very cool.
I guess if a huge flock came and took over the feeders I would not be very happy. I think any species that bullies and takes over is not welcome....Humans sort of do that...oh my!
Glad you are seeing the Black Birds in a new light.
This is a wonderful gift you have given me! Thank you!
When I find beauty in my backyard and pass it on and others see the beauty too I am blessed!
Merry Christmas,
Sherry
