I turn to the botanical.
I turn to Ulmus, the Elm.
I look for the umbra, the shadow.
We know the cluster as an umbel.
The butterflies know them as easy nectar.
While visiting the Nature Center I saw an Umbrella tree in the entry.
They make excellent house plants.
Was it fantasy where Unicorns graced the woods?
My husband's Ukulele waits for story time.
An umbrella for the hummingbirdswas appreciated yesterday when we received three inches of rain.
The Robins are soaked.
I was looking for umber.
I am looking forward to seeing U!

Very creative 'U's Sherry.
U is a hard one. I used my umbrella Monday, guess I could have thrown that out in the yard and taken a photo;) Loved the robin photo which reminds me to move my birdbath into a sunny spot. They don't like bathing in the shade.

Love it, love it, love it Sherry....
Such a delightful post and so very imaginative.....
I love the photograph of the hummingbird with his little umbrella....
Poor robin, he looks jolly wet.
We have had bucket loads of rain today. Poppi and I got soaked....
Riley was an apple in the hungry caterpillar story. He said his words very well. It was delightful of see the children dressed as butterflies. At the end the vicar said a prayer for wildlife and asked us all to repect it. It lifted my spirit Sherry, it really did.....
Umber... tee hee hee... you found it!
Such clever U's, Sherry! I was trying to think of some in my garden, but couldn't come up with anything that started with U--obviously, I should have thought a little harder. So good to see the hummingbirds out! I am waiting and waiting for rain here--the clouds keep passing us by.
U are great, Sherry! The wet birds tickle me - I skimmed one out of the pool the other day and it took him several hours to dry out and move on. And, of course, the unicorn. Cool.
Wonderful, creative "U" words! Brilliant!
U would be hard but you have not let us down.
I'm in love with that umbrella hummingbird feeder! Where or where did that come from??

How neat...love the robin! What ruffled feathers!
Well thought out Sherry, very imaginative. I have had the Umbrella plant in a pot in my home for some years. The Humming Bird photo is lovely. Umbrellas have been needed here for the past week or so, we have had some very heavy downpours. Poor Robin, it does look bedraggled.
Your hummingbird feeder with the little umbrella is the sweetest I've ever seen :-) No wonder you have such happy birdies!
Have a wonderful weekend Sherry.
What a delightful post! So creative and imaginative. You do so well with these.
I also love the hummingbird umbrella. Poor robin - he looks soaked! Unicorns were certainly not fantasy. Why, I have some in my garden. They're real!
Hope the rain lets up. I'll send you a pocketful of sunshine! We have some to spare.
Enjoy!
