ABC Wednesday

W is for Wren

and Woodpecker.

W is for the wind whispering in the Weeping Willows

and for a wet wasp.

I watched a working Windmill

and a wee waterfall over the weekend.

My Weather report:

Overnight thunderstorms left two inches of rain in the gauge.

Power was lost for most of the night.

Heat advisory for the rest of the week.

Thank you mrsnesbitt for hostessing ABC Wednesday.

Beautiful photos. And it's no fun to be without power, especially overnight.

Lovely creative post again with beautiful W photos. I should think the wind whispering through the Weeping Willows is very welcome (an unintentional W!)in the heat you have there, try to stay cool.

Absolutely beautiful photos.

Sounds like we may have the same weather pattern in store for tonight. Temps in the mid'90's and storms predicted for tonite.

I love the birds. I never thought a woodpecker looked like that. I must have been watching too much Woody Woodpecker!

I like your wet wasp! I wouldn't have thought of that. Nice pics. I especially like waterfalls.

Sherry, so many wonderful W's! The wren and woodpecker are so sweet, but I would love to hear the wind whispering through the willows right now or splash in that waterfall. We are hot, hot, hot, too:)

Last year I had so many praying mantises, but I haven't seen one yet this year. Your photos of your green visitor are amazing!

Love all your Ws especially the Wren. We had a thunder storm too with lashings of rain but thankfully no damage so far as I know! Our Wisteria definitely needed a good soaking - the leaves have fallen off!
