July is tapping her foot.
I bought a beetle brooch while attending a weavers conference.
Happy Macro Monday!

Sometimes, very early on very cool mornings, you can feel the fur on the bumblebees. They are groggy from the cold and don't object to a gentle touch. Your brooch is wonderful, obviously hand made.

BEAUTIFUL bee shots and nifty broach too ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
July is right around the corner. Hot, sticky nights and sunny days are almost here.
so very beautiful and then I had to chuckle at the last one, I suppose because I did not expect a handmade bug.
Your little bee buddies are so cute seated on their cushions. I also like your beetle pin.
Your pics are a delight! Those sweet little bumbles are enjoying a feast in your garden.
Wherever did June go???
Love the brooch!! That bee is mighty fine!!
It seems like just a few days ago we were waiting for spring to get here, and now, I'm wondering where it went!
Great bee shots and nice broach!
I love taking pictures of bees on echinacea too. Great macros!
wonderful bee shots so b-e-a-utiful.
Dear Sherry.....beautiful bees, and lovely brooch......
I do so love the cone flower but sadly they do not do well here.
I added lots of grit to the soil and put them in a raised spot but I do not think they liked the very wet winter here......
I shall just have to enjoy yours!!
Gorgeous macros, as always, Sherry! I don't think you have ever gotten that close to a bumblebee before. And I can see why you got the brooch! It is wonderful!
Coneflowers are my favorite flowers, and they must be the bees' favorites, too. Such beautiful photos, Sherry! If I could get up really early one morning, I'd like to try Marnie's idea of petting a bumblebee. The brooch is lovely, just perfect for you.
Bee--utiful! Love the fuzzy bee!
love and light anna xo
Beautiful bee photos Sherry, I had Cone flowers in a pot but this year they didn't come back, such a shame I must try again. This year is going so quickly, nearly July already!
Coneflowers seem ideally suited to the bees' long tongue. Great macros.
Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bee!
Great bee photos, Sherry. It always surprises me have furry they are :-)
Hi Sherry,
I've just been catching up with your blog (went away for a week while we had builders here and I've been sooo busy clearing up after them since I got back!).
I've really enjoyed reading about all your Sunday safaris - I love the candy striped leafhopper (I've never seen anything like that over here!), the lacewings (we get those, but your close-up of the face of one of them is amazing), and the ebony jewel wings.
I also love your shots of the orange sulphur butterfly you found in your purse - how wonderful to have her sit on your fingers like that - and the wren in your "w" post, which is very similar to our European wrens (I wonder if they're the same?). And your macro furry bees are just gorgeous - I always want to stroke them too, but I've never dared try.
Is it still very hot over there? I don't think it's got up to 99F anywhere over here :o - but the shade temperature has been in the upper 80s in my garden this week and it's very muggy and unpleasant.
