Sunday Safari

We went to see the Ebony Jewel Wings.

They take my breath away.

This male plucked a mosquito off my arm.

We could easily have a great relationship.

There were other wonderful bugs about in the woods.

We enjoyed the birds and the trees and the flowers too.

Watching Daddy Longlegs was fun.

It was the Ebony Jewel Wings we came to visit.

They are my favorite of all the bugs.

Happy Sunday Safari.

These photos are some beauts. The bug with his tail in the air is interesting. I haven't looked at a Daddy longlegs so closely in a long time.

These are gorgeous, Sherry! Thanks for sharing. I chased a damselfly around my shade garden the other day trying to take a photo, but could never get very close. The jewelwings must sense a special kinship with you to have plucked a mosquito off your arm. I think you are the "jewelwing whisperer":)

Hi Sherry....the ebony jewel wings are without doubt exquisite....and you capture them beautifully.
What a friend you have found, taking a mosi from your arm. Could you send him my way please, sadly I am bitten on a regular basis.....

Lovely captures Sherry and a pleasure to walk in the woods with you and yours......

I'd love to be surrounded by these when I'm outside and have them eat the skeeters while I garden. Great shots!

The Jewel wings are beautiful and eating mosquitoes makes them heroes as far as I'm concerned? Amazing photos.

Great images! After looking at that green bee (if it's a bee) I also want to taste a yellow flower!
