I watched the Tiger Swallowtails make their rounds.
Just as they left the Orange Sulphurs came .
I waited for them to finish.
When it was my turn the bees scooted this way and that!
Some of the bees went to the Hibiscus.
I gathered seeds.
I will continue to do so now until frost.
I will plant them next May.
The cycle continues.
Seed to seed.
Food for the bees and the butterflies.
Food for my soul.
A time to gather.

Brilliant colors! I love gathering seeds! I always gather marigold seeds each year!
This is a lovely post. Your series of photos are wonderful. You have captured the butterflies grace and I love the movement in the bees wings.
Your words are lovely and so inspiring that you gather your seeds, as it should be!
These gorgeous photos are food for my soul.
So much joy from season to season from your lovely flowers.
I could look at your photos all day long. Just wonderful! -Tammy
Sherry,
These are beautiful! This orange cosmos reseeds and the seedlings bloom as it grows here. I found about an acre of more of this plant once that the highway dept planted, 100s of all kinds of butterflies on it, amazing plant.
A beautiful gathering day for you, the bees and butterflies ♥
Very nice, uplifting post and great images!
I love the orange cosmos! I've started collecting seeds too. I'm still waiting for the butterflies, I've only seen a few so far. Usually by this time I have Painted Ladies all over the place, but so far I haven't seen them or the swallowtails.
Your butterflies are so perfect! I love orange cosmos. And you can actually see the bees wings whirring so fast!
Nice clear shots. I have gathered some viola seeds. Never done that before. I usually forget where I've put them, but this year I will remember. I can't wait for the purple basil to flower. That's my favourite herb.
The cycle continues. Looks like you had a good day!

Gorgeous pictures! I love the ones of the bees in flight, they are so cute. I've started gathering seed too. It's so satisfying to grow your own from seed.
Great post...love that you gather seeds and reuse!
Awesome pics as usual!
Love your pictures and post!!

Absolutely fabulous shots!
Lovely, Sherry! A few butterflies are beginning to appear here, but it is the bees who love the orange cosmos here. You have nourished my soul as well.
Dear Sherry....it is a good year for butterflies....such pretty pictures...they are delightful images. Poppi and Riley stayed overnight, we have been watching bees and butterflies....
Seed to seed is good....both my grandchildren know how to plant....they will remember forever....there little fingers will grow things well, I know this.
I have gathered meadow cranesbill seeds and black paeony poppy for you. Will send sometime in the autumn......
I love the orange cosmos - I think I need to find some of those!
Thank you for the information about the chamomile - I will be trying to dry some herbs for this winter, I think!
I hopped over here from Lisa's AE's blog. You have some fabulous images here! I've really enjoyed browsing through them. Wonderful work.
