September

The Monarchs

and Black Swallowtails

came to the flowers as soon as the rain stopped.

I am ready for September.
My calendar is full

of wonderful days to celebrate.

I brought out the September journal.

I have just enough room to write about
the daily events of 2010.

There will be poems to read

and things to learn.

I am always learning.

Always looking for different ways
 to use photographs.

These are clown days at my house.

Sad clowns

silly clowns,

very pretty clowns.

Our decorating is finished
for September.

As Autumn approaches I
begin my shadow art.

I am planing my harvest table.

I am gathering acorns and

reading about the history of puppets.

I am remembering

the fun of the circus.

The sun came out.
 Two Red Spotted Purple

butterflies graced the garden.

I am looking forward to
 the surprises,
 to the fun,

and sharing September's stories.

Happy September.

My Dear Sherry.....what a lovely post. September is a month I love, I will be sharing it with special friends at some point.

The butterflies are very beautiful.....I did not realise but we have a colony of swallowtails in UK. Norfolk I believe. Just so amazing.....I must go and visit, perhaps next summer.

I love the words of William Wordsworth, he is one of my very favourite poets......

I have just done my last post for a while....so much to do!!!

Happy September my friend...

Sherry, I'm always learning from you! Some of those books look like the early basal readers I used in elementary school!

Beautiful butterflies, Sherry and as Cheryl mentioned we do have a Swallowtail colony here but it is confined to a part of Norfolk, I have never visited that county but would love to one day.

Lovely photos as always and the clowns were fun, I enjoyed the poetry too of course :)

Happy September to you, Sherry! Wordsworth's poem is perfect for this month of changes, one of my favorite poets.
