They hope to see a Hummingbird.
I hope ours come to visit while they are here.
I invited the Pipevine Swallowtails
to visit again this coming week.
I have waited all summer to see them
and our friends.
Our friends are from England.
They have not seen our bugs.
We have plans to visit
a couple of gardens while they are here.
I hope the Ebony Jewelwings
are still flying.
They are my favorite bug.
We want to walk the Prairie
together too.
We hope to share a garden stir fry
at our harvest table
and to have an Apple Festival.
We hope to plant an apple tree
together.
I hope the weather is clear
for the Harvest Moon rise.
The four of us are moon people.
We are star gazers.
We are myth makers.
We believe wishes do come true.
I carry hope in my pocket.
This is a magical week for us.
Our friends are coming.
Happy Sunday Safari.
Make a wish on the Harvest Moon.
Put some hope in your pocket too!
to visit again this coming week.

Dear Q, Thank you for a beautiful post. I surely like the idea of carrying hope in my pocket. I saw the Big Bug exhibit with my grandchildren a couple years ago when it was at Denver Botanic garden - it was wonderful. The hummingbird looks as though it's greeting the bee! Make some memories with your friends.
Really stunning photos of the Hummingbird and the butterfly, Sherry!
Have a wonderful time, a certain person has been looking forward to and getting very excited about this visit :)
Such beauty, as always :) I enjoyed all of your photos. I'm having trouble being fast enough to capture some good butterfly photos. There seems to be more butterflies and dragonflies here this year. I hope to visit Powell Gardens in the near future. It really isn't terribly far from us. Have fun with your friends! -Tammy
Have a wonderful time, Sherry! I invited the hummingbirds and butterflies, too, and I was so happy they joined us when the visitors arrived. I know you have lots of special activities planned; they will love them all!
You are having a blast no doubt. Your guests are the best. I hope they get to see lots of birds, bees and bugs.
Hello Sherry, I haven't visited for a while, not sure where the year is going to! Hope you are well. The hummingbirds are incredibly beautiful. Happy Harvest Moon :-)
And this is a magical post indeed with all the gentle hummingbirds and pictures! Have a wonderful week :)
Have a wonderful time with your friends Sherry! I know they will be in awe of the beauty that surrounds you ♥
Sherry, you are lucky to still have the hummingbirds around. They left here a week or so back. All the feeders are supposed to be pulled for the winter, to make sure none are tempted to stay too long...
Such wonderful photos. The one with the hummingbird and honeybee facing each other is one of the best I've ever seen.
I hope you're having a great time with your friends - and that they get to see a hummingbird and some of your lovely butterflies too. Pipevine swallowtails are another new one to me - what a glorious colour their wings are.
