December

Our decorations are up.
We will have our outside lighting ceremony this evening.

We will look back over the past year

and begin making plans for the New Year.

I want to make a
family almanac for my children.

Today we are studying Snow Globes.

I did a bit of shopping looking for a snow globe
to put under the family Christmas tree.
I did not find one I wanted.
I will keep looking.

I am saving used cinnamon sticks
to make a cottage.

We are waiting for our first snow.

I am looking forward to
learning my snow crystals.
I was so pleased to find a field guide
to Snowflakes.
I have begun my list of
awesome somethings in my life.

We are crafting.
The Cowgirl Christmas Tree
is coming right along.
I am making ornaments and fixing her up.

Happy December.

I am so glad you found these snowflake books. You will love them. You will never look at snow the same way. I thought of you today when I read the Nature Conservancy magazine. There was an article about a modern day cowgirl. Truly an inspiration. We finished our inside decorations for December today too. Fun fun.

Sherry, I love your enthusiasm - I do believe it is contagious. I can't believe there is a guide to snowflakes! I thought every single one was unique, like you!

Dear Sherry, such a charming post.
Your reading matter is interesting and your decorations so pretty.

How fascinating, studying snowflakes. I have never heard of this.....I look forward to reading your posts, and learning from them.

We have six inches of snow now. We are expecting it to snow all day again.....I must confess to not liking the snow. It is pretty but so inconvenient.
I am decorating the house but have not been able to get my tree yet.
I want to go to Bedgebury and buy a native tree (no air miles). They replant, and are very aware of the environment. After Christmas I will put it though the shredder and add that to the pine pathway through the woodland walk......

Have fun......

What a lovely post, Sherry. I can't believe that December has arrived already! Time just seems to be zinging by too fast.

Sorry that I haven't been by in a while, but you know how grandkids take up a lot of time and energy! ;)

Hope that you had a great Thanksgiving!
