Sunday Safari

Zebra.......
We whisper her name....
Zebra.......
My garden journal says she was here
 last year on July 17th.

Zebra.....

Right on schedule.

Zebra.....
She is gorgeous.

Zebra.....
A heat advisory continues.

I seek the comfort of my fan.


Zebra!
Keep your cool,
tempers can flare in the heat.

She's beautiful, Sherry! Isn't it amazing how these creatures know where to go and what schedule to keep; I always marvel at the migration of the Monarchs, too. I went to a lecture on hummingbirds Sunday and learned so much. Now when I see them in the fall, I'll know they're storing up energy for their flight across the Gulf of Mexico.

I've never seen a Zebra swallowtail up close. I think it is our most beautiful butterfly in the continental U.S.
They say we have them here in East Texas. I have giant swallowtail and pipevine swallowtail which is attracted to our camphor tree.
