Sunday Safari

The Black Swallowtail emerged this morning.

Once her wings were dry I released her.
The temperatures were in the middle 80's.
It was warm enough for her
and I have plenty of flowers in bloom.

It is April Fool's Day.
A fun day.

April is National Poetry Month.
I read a poem every morning before I put my
gardening apron on.
I am planting. I am playing in the dirt.

The April house is decorated.
She looks lovely in her pinks and purples.

The outdoors has come inside.

The vases are full of flowers.

I am preparing for April showers.

I am celebrating.

I am honoring.
It is the first Sunday of the month.
It is Dragon Day.
I do hope the Dragons bring spring rains
this week to water all my plants in.
It is Palm Sunday
and I have plans for Holy Week.
It is a busy time of year.
Everything is happening at once!
Happy Sunday Safari.

I'm hoping for moisture, too. Your blooms and butterfly are heralding the season. I can't believe your lilacs are already blooming - I can almost smell them! Happy April to you!

I think it's wonderful that you begin each day by reading a poem, Sherry--such a great way to celebrate National Poetry Month. I love the Langston Hughes poem!

The red admirals have arrived at my house; they enjoyed the blooming lilacs.

Everything looks so cheery and inviting in your home. Happy Spring and Happy Easter to you!
