Dear Mary,
It is me sitting on my steamer chair. I am reading and looking to the South, I see Chick-a-ee up on one feeding station. I see Red-Bellied coming to see what I am doing and the male Cardinal in the Dogwood. I think he wants to me go inside! The camera sits in my lap.
I will read a few pages look up and take a few photos...
The Cardinals are stunning. There were other birds; Nuthatches, Finches, Mockingbird, Robins,
always Sparrows and Doves. Brownheaded Cowbird and mate came to the feeders yesterday. Hawks overhead, stirring up feathers, keeping the backyard busy.
When ever possible I like to read outside with the birds.

Dear Sprite,
The little purple looking bird is a Chick-a-dee. Only looks purple because of the light. He is really black, gray and white.
The birds are so busy and they make all sorts of calls and songs...
While reading about the natural landscape of Kansas the clouds were rolling in. I knew I would be inside for a couple of days. I had just finished the chapter on weather when it became to dark to read.
I would like to finish this book before I leave to see my Aunt.
The birds are getting used to me being outside with them. We will have lots more bird pictures now!

Dear Sheila,
I am getting ready for the winter birds, I put out suet cakes and another feeder. I will continue setting up feeding stations as the weather turns colder. I like seeing the different species. Hope the birds have safe travel to my backyard.
The birds are fun to watch.
We still have not had our first frost. The English Ivy on my house is turning. It looks so pretty.
When it is too cold or too wet for me to perch up outside I perch up in my livingroom and watch the birds through the windows.
