Dear Deb, Thank you. Hope you did too. Another wintry mix is coming in tonight, freezing drizzle mixed with snow. I do not mind snow but the freezing drizzle is never fun, sometimes it can be pretty if the sun comes out. Stay warm! You have had lots of snow this winter. Hugs to Benny, Sherry
Happy Valentine's Day to you!!! And what a pretty photo, to go with this entry.
I'm sorry you have another wintry mix coming... I too, dislike the freezing drizzle, and we had quite a bit recently.
But, it is pushing toward the end of February. :-)
I would like to link you to another lovely blogger, who also loves her birds. As I linked her, to you. I case you've never happened upon her spot in Blog Land.
This is great fun. It's almost like being a matchmaker. Introducing like minded people, those who love Nature, to each other. Yes, this is great fun.
Dear Mari-Nanci, Thank you for the introduction! I enjoyed visiting her journal and seeing some of the birds and butterflies in Scotland. I hope to visit again soon. I may not be able to go in person right now so going virtually is the next best thing. I do want to go to Ireland, Scotland and Wales one of these days. Hope you enjoyed your Valentine's Day! sherry
Dear Cathy, I wanted to come visiting last night but I was waylaid by my Middle-East History text. Finished it! Thank goodness. Maybe you have new poems??? Happy Valentine's Day to you too. Sherry
Dear Anna, My husband made the heart for me in 1993. It was for my Father's grave. My Father celebrated Valentine's Day. Every year he had boxes of candy for the girls and bags of nuts for the boys. After I was married, as were my siblings, my Father would drive to each of our houses (6) and deliver his Valentines on Valentines Day. My house was his last stop. He and and my Mother would have supper with us. I fixed his favorite meal, stuffed peppers. It was an amazing thing. My Father did not show any affection, not a hugger or a man who kissed. His Valentines were his way of showing publicly his care and love. After he died my husband made this heart for me to place on his grave. After Valentine's Day was over I went back and brought the heart home. Now I set it outside by my front door in February. Hope your day was filled with the sweetness of love. Sherry
