Most often I have three or four books I am reading at the same time.
I have them open by my reading chairs and one or two on my nightstand.
One is usually open on my desk another on the counter by the telephone.
I take a book with me when I run errands just in case I have to wait in line.
Sue Hubbell has inspired me to join the Xerces Society.I would love to talk with other bug people.
Bugs and birds are my favorite to read about.
Dragonflies will be my main bug to study in 2009.
This book tells how to set up Dragonfly habitat.
I just might learn something new!
Some birds I will dream about.

We all need dreams Sherry....and rare birds are certainly something to hope for......some of them might just be told about Sherrys garden....
The bug books look so inviting....I love to browse nature books.....I always try to retain just a little more information.....
Look forward to future dragonfly posts......
I do the same things with books. The worst thing is to be stuck somewhere with nothing to read.
Hi, Sherry,
Thanks for sharing the books. I've placed some of them on hold at my library. Sue Hubbell has several interesting books that I'm going to have to take a look at.
Dear Cheryl,
If a rare bird came to my gardens I think I would open my doors and invite her in the house for safety!
I just finished reading the biography of John Audabon. When he was drawing "The Birds Of America" there were flocks and flocks of now extinct birds.
Sue Hubble is a fun to read writer. She is a bee keeper and a naturalist. I think you would enjoy this book.
I have begun a tad early reading about Dragonflies...the book was so pretty and I just had to buy it!
Learning all the different Dragonflies will be like iding the butterflies and the birds. There are many! I bet at some point I put together a life list for Dragonflies!

Dear Wren,
My husband is also a reader. He mostly reads periodicals. His magazines are a bit easier to tuck here and there. I also have a couple of magazines I suscribe to.
Maybe a post on periodicals would be fun!

Those books look good. It's nice to find an interest so related to birds--often I find the birds are hiding from me. Isects don't disappoint, they're almost always somewhere!
I like your cicada-killer. Haven't seen one in years!!
Dear ICQB,
Sue Hubble is a wonderful writer. I do enjoy her relaxed way with the bees and the bugs. I was thinking I would read her other books too this winter.

Dear Nina,
I am very smitten with the bugs.
I still love the birds and the four legged but the bugs are so interesting. They are about too. Butterflies, Bees, Dragonflies, Spiders, Beetles and Mantids...so many different kinds of bugs...all fantastic and in my backyard. All I need to do is open my eyes and enjoy!

This book by Sue Hubbell is one of my all time favorites. I find myself wanting to re read it each summer (when I see daddy longlegs!)
Dear Cyndy,
I am enjoying Sue Hubbell's writing. I love the topic too, bugs. I understand the desire to want to re-read it. I think it would be a nice book to read at the beginning of summer when the bugs are out and about. I have learned so much since I began reading this book. My husband and I are talking like entomologist...I am loving that!
I call it, "bug speak.
Sherry
