Seeing the Zebra Swallowtail is always exciting.
She is never far from a Paw-paw bush, which is her host plant.
I was so pleased to see a Northern Walkingstick.
Autumn is coming soon.
My mums are in bloom.
The grasshoppers are in abundance.
The Skippers are still finding nectar in them.
The Live Forevers draw Gray Hairstreaks
and Praying Mantis.
The Bright Eye Cosmos have been in bloom since June.
The Common Checkered-Skipper is not common to my backyard.
I have only seen her a few times.
Red Spotted Purple likes rotting fruit.
I share the stems of my figs and my apple cores.
The Female Hummingbirds will begin to migrate in October.
The males left last week.
The Nuthatches will stay all winter.
The Northern Cardinals will also stay through the winter.
This couple raised four chicks this year.
I have chores to do.
Autumn is coming.

The zebra Swallowtail is a stunning photo. It is so fresh for such a late date. Enjoyed the other photos too.
What wonderful treasures can be found in your own backyard! Your photos are so clear we can see the antennae of the insects! I did not realize the walking stick had such long antennae!!

You do get a wonderful variety of butterflies and bugs. What you call 'Live Forevers' I know only as sedum, but I have noticed that the Praying Mantis seem to favour them in my garden too.
The Zebra swallowtail is so beautiful; I haven't seen one all summer. You have so many different butterflies! The detail of the Gray Hairstreak is just amazing! Not only do I enjoy all your wonderful photographs, Sherry; I always learn something, too. I haven't seen the hummingbirds the last few days, and I wondered if they had left yet. Do the males go on ahead to reserve a room? Just wondering why they leave early:)

Lovely, lovely photos again Sherry. You always have such wonderful Safaris even when you don't go far! Everything is so beautiful that it is difficult to single any out but the Nuthatch is stunning as is the Swallowtail, the Hairstreak and the Red Spotted Purple and as for the Hummingbird....well! It is lovely to see the Skippers too ;)
So sorry I somehow missed your Hs on the previous post, they were all beautiful too.

I would love to visit your backyard in person. :) I am not familiar with "lives forever" flowers; I'll have to google that one. :) I haven't seen a Walking Stick here. I wonder if they are here and my eyes 'can't see' it. :) I did see a praying mantis not too long ago.
