Kindred Spirits

We made wishes

                               on the Harvest Moon.

                          We laughed, we cried,
                            we shared life stories.

We were cut from the same cloth.
We talk with the bugs, the plants and birds.
We listen to the wind.

We are kindred spirits.

We hold our friends deep in our hearts.

We already miss them.

They have left for their home.

We will care for our Friendship tree.

We treasure the time we shared.
Thank you generous and kind friends
for coming to our table.

Sherry,

Loved the mantis in the moon photo! The butterfly bench there is a guy here in Durham that makes those benches I wonder if it is one of his? Meg's school has that exact bench.

Wonderful pictures!
To sum up in a sentence, I found your post to be quite poignant in my current situation. Over the past few years, my mom has given me a few fruit trees, which will serve to be a sweet memory of her. Your post highlights how much family and friendship are treasures.

Dear Sherry, I have just walked through the door. I did not sleep on the plane despite the comfortable seating. I had so many thoughts running through my mind.
