Lingering

I stayed in my robe and slippers
long after the bed was made,
long after the birds were feed.

I stopped and smelled each rose.

Organic treasures from sustainable growers.

I support the Rainforest Alliance.

Hearts and flowers.

I read my poetry.
I lingered.

The Lover Tells of the Rose in his Heart

It was a Lover
William Shakespear

Familiar stanzas, familiar poems.

I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud

Dear Lisa,
My husband is very kind and generous! He did give me two dozen red roses! He also made me a Valentine! He is very romantic and the love of my life.
The ribbon art card is my Valentine for him!
I was pleased the roses were from the Rainforest Alliance. They are organic so I could use them for my bath. I divided the bouquets up a little bit so I have roses on my desk and on a few tables around the house. My house smells so good!
I am always surprised when my husband gives me flowers. I never expect them. Even though he usually does.
Hope the snow has not kept you from enjoying your day.
Thank you for your friendship,
Sherry

Red roses - 2 dozen red roses! Your home must smell lovely.

Dear Mary,
It does! I have kept all the Valentine roses my husband has given me over the years. I dry them and have big crystal bowls filled with the petals. I put rose absolute on my dried roses and use this as my potpouri in February. I am sentimental and a practical romantic! I will need another crystal bowl next year for all of these new petals.
Happy Valentine's Day!

Dear Sue,
Thank you! I had a very nice day.
I relaxed and just enjoyed.
I had this idea that it would be a wonderful gift to ones self if once a month each of us could claim a day as "my" day. Not just on birthdays but once a month!
It would also be nice if couples could claim one day a month as "our" day. Once a month to celebrate their relationship.
Hope you had a nice Valentine's Day too!
Sherry

Dear Jeanne,
Thank you!
Hope your day was also filled with blessings!
It is nice in February to have a day to stop for a minute and say, "I love you!"
Maybe we as a society could find a way to do this more often. It would not need to be flowers or candies or cards all the time maybe just smiles and waves and respect would be enough.
Love and light,
Sherry
