I have ironing to do.
There is Spring cleaning to be done
inside and outside.
The crocuses are blooming.

WOW! Crocus! I can't wait for our to bloom. Right now they are under more than 2 feet of snow.
We have a white crocus species that just bloomed yesterday too. The synchronization is fantastic.

That is exciting...and a nice bright yellow one! We had a warm day today and some snow melted...but I didn't have a crocus 'til April last year.
I just know my crocus were open today too but I was at work and didn't get to see them. Hopefully tomorrow I will get to see them blooming. It is supposed to be warm but windy. Your little sprinkler lady is cute. I haven't seen one of those in a long time.
Great pictures! Things are starting to show signs of life in our gardens too. Not quite as much as yours, but the promise of beauty to come nonetheless.

Lovely crocuses! I am still waiting for mine to come up. I can almost smell those curtains through my monitor, Sherry:) I love to hang up clothes and smell that fresh scent when I bring them in--that almost says spring to me as much as the first flowers blooming. Tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 50's here, so I may hang up some laundry as well. That is one housekeeping chore I've always enjoyed.
Sounds like you have been very busy, but there's nothing like the excitement of an upcoming trip to get the energy flowing! The Northwest is a place I would love to visit some day. And I chuckled when I read your "son-not-in-law"; I'm assuming I am interpreting that correctly--I have one, too, living in Arizona with older Daughter:)

I saw a report on the news about all the snow the Northeast received! Glad you and your gardens are safe...moisture is nice for spring blooms.
I watched as the snows melted and the crocuses bloomed...it was a fine meditation.
Spring will be in your gardens soon. I know I easily could have another snow storm. March is a fickled month.

I have some white crocuses in my moon garden..they are under a pile of Dogwood leaves...I have flower bed clean up to do!
I love the way Spring wakes up and the flowers begin to bloom.

Spring is on her way! I am very excited to see flowers again. I know I could still get snow but it will not last.
Once the crocus bloom I have lots of work to do. I leave the spent annuals over winter in the gardens. Spring clean up is when I remove them. Lots of removing to do!

I hope you get outside today and watch the crocus bloom. It is so exciting. I am not sure what happened to my snowdrops. I have not seen any sign of them.
The crocus was my first flower for 2009! I have missed the flowers.
Lots of gardening to do this year. I have a couple of new beds I want to put in.
We have the potatoe patch ready to plant on St. Pat's Day.

Once the snow began to melt I thought I would see a few crocuses. I have lots and lots of them. I will be planting more since I did many as forced bulbs this past winter. I love them. So pretty. The yellows almost always bloom first. Looking forward to seeing your blooms.

The old ironing sprinkler bottles are fun. I love to add a bit of lavender water to my ironing. The sweet bottles makes for fun "sprinkling."

I love the entire ritual of the laundry. I love my laundry basket. I love bringing my fresh laundry in. If something needs pressing it is fun to sprinkle and iron...
The clothspin bag I made for my Mother. I remember her clothes line. I bought new pins this year.
Our son-not-in-law is a dear heart. I also think of him as our son-in-love! I am looking forward to seeing them. It has been too long since I felt my daughter's hugs and gazed into her deep blue eyes!

Dear Sherry.....I have crocus envy....it is one plant the rabbits and sparrows will destroy. I have planted in tubs etc etc but no, as soon as that lovely bloom opens, next day gone.....
I will enjoy yours....and pretend they are mine...lol
It has been a lovely day here so I have had washing on the line......spring cleaning is getting done slowly, my gardens need me at the moment....I have lots of plants appearing.....and much cutting back needs to be done...
I had five bumbles in the garden today......I am a happy girl.....

Spring cleaning is a slow process here too...I do some and than go out to be with the birds.
I am loving the spinning. My yarn is still rather chunky but I was told to treasure my first spinnings so I am.
So many bumbles,wow! I am looking forward to when the bees wake up in my gardens...soon the butterflies will return too...
