We have those showers going today. I walked Luna between thunderstorms today. She was nervous. I like to walk in the rain. She has a crazy Momma. That first book looks good. Maybe poetry would save the world. We could have war of words only.
The showers are on their way here sherry. It was sunny this morning, but is now overcast. The flowers and birds outside you window are picture perfect.
Happy May Day a day early to you, too, Sherry! The last photo is an ode to springtime, no words needed--it would be perfect on the cover of a book.
Glad you joined in on ABC Wednesday, and a perfect choice at that. We have had so much rain here that I am ready for some sunshine. But hopefully all these April showers will indeed bring some May flowers:)
We are still waiting for the showers they've been promising us for the last fortnight, and the garden is getting very dry ... please can you send some of yours over here?
Hi Sherry, Every time I go to your blog, you just fill me with inspiration! I have been watching the birds this spring, keeping my feeders full (even when the chipmunks empty them!), making sure the bird bath is clean and has water, keeping the binoculars close at hand. I even have my oriole feeder full along with little bowls of orange slices and jelly, but they have not found them yet... For the butterflies, I bought my curly parsley and my butterfly bushes and butterfly weed are making a comeback. Anything else you can recommend? No one else at my house is interested in much of this, so forgive me for carrying on! There is so much life out there that we never take the time to see - thanks for reminding us.
'Tis like the birthday of the world, When earth was born in bloom; The light is made of many dyes, The air is all perfume: There's crimson buds, and white and blue, The very rainbow showers Have turned to blossoms where they fell, And sown the earth with flowers.~Thomas Hood
Dear Rose, Thank you. I enjoy photography! It goes well with the birds and bugs and blooms in the backyard! Hope you have some sunny May days. I have a cool cloudy day and spent the afternoon out in the gardens. Lots to do! Sherry
Dear Lavender Dreamer, I think a poem a day keeps the mind in play! I love to read a poem and think about it off and on all day long. My mind is entertained! Sherry

On second thought, Words can be as damaging or more so than anything else. Let us just live and love.
Your photos and prose are so lovely!

I agree "just live and love."

Dear Sheila,
I never mind rain. So glad you are getting some spring rain.
I love the smell of the gardens after it rains.

Dear Juliet,
I would gladly send rain!
We have had plenty for awhile I think.
May showers bring June vegetables. (I hope!)
