Polyphemus
We found her when we were walking this evening.
Her calling time is approximately 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
and again from 3:30 a.m. to dawn.
We placed her in the lavender on the deck.
She is a beautiful moth.

That is very peaceful. And her brown markings are perfect.

Wow what fabulous photpgraphs and what a beautiful moth.
WOW, I didn't know they were out this early. What a great find. Maybe she will lay some eggs in your garden and you can find her larva.
She is so beautiful.
Lucky you to have found her.
Lucky Polyphemus that you found her.
Dear Sherry....she is beautiful.....we forget that moths are just as spectacular as butterflies......I love them....
I am sure she slept well amongst the lavender....I would to!
Beautiful images of a beautiful moth. They are a bit magical coming out in the late hours.
