The Mockingbirds have so much personality.
I get so tickled with them.
I love their songs.
This pair came this morning while I was having breakfast.
They came for dried cherries.
The Tufted Titmouse also has a darling personality.
He is so cute!
I love the way he grabs a seed and flies away!
Lately it is the Downy Woodpeckers that have taken center stage.
Two pairs chase each other around the yard.
They will stop for peanuts
and a photo shoot!
Each month there are at least 40 different species of birds in the back yard.
The Juncos have gone North. I am waiting on the Orioles and the Grosbeaks.
I hope they remember me!

The orioles should be in any time now Sherry. We had our first Scarlet Tananger this weekend. Love your models. They make for great photos.
Your birds do look happy - and well fed! We still have juncos. I wonder when they'll leave.
Oh, I really did enjoy your pictures. You must have a great camera with zoom lens, heh?
I am a new bird watcher and was told to soon put out a half an orange and some grape jelly for the orioles. Can't wait to see if I get some.
Wow...beautiful post!
thank you for sharing.
The orioles should be fun then. This photos are great. I love the woodpecker on the round wooden knobby post.
You always capture your feathered friends just perfectly, Sherrie! 40 species is quite a lot! I haven't counted how many come to my yard...I know there are many. I saw just a couple of junco's this year, and I've never gotten an oriole (at least I haven't seen one here). I do look forward to the rose breasted grosbeaks! They have come just for a short while in the spring and then usually take off...
Have a great day! Jan
Happy Earth Day Sherry..!
The birds obviously love to visit and eat at your garden, and to have their photo taken..!
We have rose breasted Grosbeaks here in the mountains of NC right now! We have seen 2 pair in our feeders and they are beautiful! Love your photos!
Dear Sherry.....your birds are so well behaved.....they sit so perfectly posing for you......
I always enjoy seeing them, they are so different to ours....
I love the woodpeckers.....I have many in the garden but never manage to get a photograph, they are always too far away......
Enjoy your birds and sunshine.......
