Full Hunter's Moon

The Full Hunter's Moon,
an Orange Sulphur butterfly,
and a Black Swallowtail
are a few of my favorite

October sights.

Soon it will be soup time.

Our kitchen will be transformed

as we stir up a magical treat.

Happy Full Hunter's Moon.

We aren't seeing many butterflies here now. An occasional skipper but everyone else must have given up for the summer. I really like that third shot of the butterflies. It shows the size distinction of the species. Soup, aaahhh yes, I love this time of year.

Sherry,
Lovely photos as usual. Your male sulphur has a narrower dark band on the forewing than the Orange Sulphur. So it is a Clouded Sulphur!

I went out tonight to look at the full moon and was not disappointed. It was cold, but clear, so I could see her well. I have a new cat and he followed after me, down the street.

Can't believe it's cold once more, with soups and pumpkins and magical brews. Our butterflies have long gone, but yours are lovely. I especially like the first one.

Yes - it's soup and stew time for me, too. I love the smell of soup simmering on the stove. Incredible end of fall photos.
