Movies

For the last couple of years our daughter has been encouraging us to join Netflix.
Over the past weekend we did.
Our first movie arrived yesterday.

My husband asked me to keep a log of the movies we see.

I heard Blog.
Our "Q" is filling up.
What's in your queue?

I read the book first. I liked the book. I haven't seen the movie. I wondered how it would be intrepreted.

My BIL has tried to get us to join netflix. We haven't done it yet. I hate to be obligated to watch a movie.

Dear Jeanne,
I enjoyed this movie. I do not think it was the best movie I have ever seen but I enjoyed the story and the music!
Thank you for the suggestion!
Our queue is rather empty. I will see if Netflix has this. With over 90,000 movies I bet they will.
Hugs,
Sherry

Dear Lisa,
I did not read this. I would think the book was very good.
I do like reading a book and seeing the movie if one had been made.
I was not sure we would watch enough movies to make Netflix worth while. Last weekend I wanted to watch a movie but did not want to drive anyplace. It was at that time my husband and I decided to give Netflix a two week trial. It is free for the first two weeks. I was pleased. So easy!
We like off beat things too and often the rental places do not have them.
Come spring we may not watch very many movies but in the winter I think we will. Netflix has no return time. It is when ever you are finished you send the movie back and they send the next one in your queue.
I also think we will watch more movies that we did not get out to see. It is not very expensive either.
I will let you know if it works out for us.

Dear Anna,
Sad story. I did enjoy the costumes as well as the sets.
I think the score was my favorite part. Johm Williams did a marvelous job.
Please let me know what you are watching and any movies you could recommend.

Oh Boy! You said the majic word... Netflix. I'm addicted to movies, love movies. Just watched Children of Men last night. It's futuristic and haunting but DID stand out in my brain. BTW, Netflix has a link on the site where you can review you history of all movies you've rented so you don't need to keep a separate log. Sometimes I go in and look at the list and can't believe I've seen all these movies, over 200 last year. Love your blog and read it often although I don't know if I've ever left a comment before. You have an amazing tranquility in your life - blog that I admire.

Sherry, I hope you enjoy Netflix (I think you will...). Another blog? You're going to be very busy! And, oh, you don't do busy.

Right now, I have old 40's and 50's musicals, in the NetFlix queue. I go in streaks. I rented one old musical, and wanted to rent more. :-)

Dear Susie,
I am so glad you enjoy my journals and my posts. They are very fun for me to create. Thank you for leaving a comment. I appreciate them!
It is a good way for me know how I am doing. I have been blogging for almost two years and I hope I have evolved!
Movies are a great passion! I hope to learn a bit more about the directors and all that goes into the making of a movie. As you might guess I am slowly, many years I would expect, working towards getting a video camera! I have a couple of movies I would like to produce. I just have to learn more about what makes a movie "good".
I did not know Netflix keeps a log for you. Thank you for letting me know. I still will do my Movie blog. Maybe you will give me some suggestions. I like all sorts of movies.
I do live a tranquil life. I call it, "contemplative living." I have done stress before and really did not care for it. We laugh, play and enjoy our days as best as we are able.
Looking forward to hearing from you again.

Dear Mary,
I do not do busy. I have in the past and it just did not work for me. I like to have all the time I need to enjoy whatever life offers.
The movie blog is rather simple. I have never written a movie review so I get the chance to learn how to do it!
I do hope Netflix works out for us. It is so simple, movies come, we watch, send back, movies come. I guess filling out the queue is the hardest part. With ideas from others and my daughter I hope to fill it right up.
Hugs,
Sherry

Dear Mari-Nanci,
Old musicals, great idea! My all time favorite is "Showboat". My husband likes "The Music Man".
I think a musical a month would be fun.
Thanks for the idea.
