Dear Mary, If your skies are clear you might have Venus shine on your pond in the west or Jupiter's shine is rather bright, in the east! The stars are so bright on moonless nights. I will be outside tonight collecting Star Dust, making my New Moon wishes and giving thanks for a beautiful Tiger Swallowtail. Sherry
Dear Sprite, Happy New moon! I sent you blessing this morning! I remember last year when I was wondering what July's New Moon would be called and I saw the Female Tiger Swallowtail on the Tiger Lily and saw the Tiger in the clouds over my house. I do believe Mother Nature was telling me "Tiger". I did some reading about the Tiger and the meaning the yellow Tiger carries. While I may live in the city I still have Tigers about! I think I will print one of these. I need a Tiger on my wall. Grrrr.... Sherry
Dear Butterfly Girl, I am so glad we found each other. I do not recall where I saw your link but glad I did. My husband would love to be a bee keeper. He has talked about it for years. We live in the city and they are against the law, I guess too many people are allergic to bees. We have lots of bees in our yard but I do not know where their hive is. These are butterfly days at my house. Sherry
Dear Sprite, I did a series of photos this morning of Tiger, 200 pictures I think. I like the side view too. Since the butterfly was so happy in the Bergamont I was able to take photos with a small lens. I could have petted Tiger I was so close up. Lots of different background colors too. It was still early so the sun had not reached the Bergamont. This made for lovely photos. The Tiger's colors did not bleach out in the sun. Swallowtails are beautiful! Sherry
Dear Deb, Happy New Moon! He does have the look of the ivories. I am doing pretty good on butterflies this year. I am pleased. If all my new plants and seed grow well I should have even more next year. I told my husband I was out of host plants for the Black Swallowtails. I shall have to go to the nursery for parsley as it is getting too late in the season for me to start it from seed. I will need a flat of plants at least. Black Swallowtails should be everywhere come September! Just in time for the Monarchs. That will be pretty, oranges and black ...October colors. It's a new moon today? Where have I been? No moonshine on the pond, I guess...
