We drink Turkish coffees in February
and read stories from the Arabian Nights.
We listen to the sitar
and dream of the nightingale.
We celebrate Valentine's Day.
We watch for the ground hog's shadow.
We have a bit of Mardi Gras.
This year we get to leap.

Dear Lisa,
LOL! I am singing now too!
Lots of cultural events this coming month!
I enjoy the February things. I do have many Valentine decorations but the Turkish things are so fun and I find I look for them when I am shopping. My husband and I are planning a trip to the Mid-eastern market on Saturday. Turkish coffee is yummy! Powerful stuff too!

I love all your special monthly celebrations! What fun traditions you have @ Q's corner :-}
Good-bye January. Won't miss you.
It's a good thing you love to decorate. You make the worst two months of the year interesting.
I love the way you live!

Now that song is stuck in my head! I love the cover of the book!
It's been snowing heavily here, since about 11:15, this morning.
Pat
How beautiful my lovely friend.
Love Jeanne ^j^
Sherry, I'm beginning to suspect that you are actually triplets. How do you get so much done -- and sleep too?
Dear Deb,
We do have fun!
I try and add a little something different every month too. In 2008 we are studying a constellation every month. I am very excited about February's constellation. I am looking for Monoceros, the Unicorn. I have never seen it. Our telescope is not excellent but it is okay. Hope we can find it!

Dear Mary,
Years ago January was a not a fun month! I began finding ways of making January very fun and now I look forward to January. Not only are the decorations a delight but we have all sorts of delightful activities. I keep the January things up as long as I can since I adore them all.
February is very, very fun! Each day there is a celebration.
We dance in February and do Backyard Bird Count!
I would like to add a weekly swim this year, by next year we will be ready for a trip! I have a plan. I always have a plan, plan A, plan B and plan C!
We do have activities but never busy! LOL
Live,laugh and love,
Sherry
Dear Mari-Nanci,
Me too!
LOL!
Live, laugh and love...
my February mantra.
Sherry
Dear Pat,
The snows went south and east of us. Right into your front yard!
I hope all is okay today. My husband told me some areas of the country were hit hard.
Happy February!
Sherry
Dear Jeanne,
A small amount of the "heart motif" works in my house but I cannot do everything up for Valentine's Day. When I began studying the different cultures it was just natural to go a bit farther east in February and begin learning about the Mid-east. Large area so there is much to learn!
February is loaded with celebrations!
Hope you embrace each day too.
So much to love, to learn and so many laughs to be laughed!
Hugs,
Sherry
Dear Marvin,
LOL! No, only one of me! I like life to be beautiful and easy!
Thus I do what I am able. Not watching T.V. does give me a chance to do all sorts of things.
I also like to sleep. One of my favorite times of each day is when my husband and I have shut down the house and are laying in bed. We have a classical music program we listen to each night and I love drifting off to the sounds of the beautiful music.
Life is to be enjoyed but we have to figure out how to do that!
Hope the snows missed you.
Sherry
