Cardinal Time

As the days are getting longer Cardinal time is getting later. Tonight we had a new pair.

I counted seven females and seven males.
The new male appeared to have an injury. I put lots of seed out. Another cold night is predicted.

We also have had some very cold nights these past few days, and were sure to fill the feeders and suet baskets for all of our feathered friends!

Hi French Nest,
Brrrr.....
I often wonder how the birds can tolerate the frigid temps. It does seem only right that we put suet and seed out. After all, humans did take much of their habitat.
You stay warm and say "Hello" to your feathered friends for me!
Now that February is here Spring and warmer weather is just around the corner.
Bird songs for you,
