Woodpecker Days

The Red Bellied Woodpecker came into the Pin Oak by the driveway. I enjoy having him so close.
I get to see his red belly.
The yard is full of woodpeckers.
They are in the trees and on the suet. Posted by Picasa

I keep hoping our 1 woodpecker will return! Perhaps -30 is a bit too cold for him.

Dear Deb,
Oh my goodness! -30 is so very cold!! My husband just taught me how to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius! -30 is -22 degrees for me. That is beyond any cold I have known. I think 10 degrees, -12 for you, is cold. I think anything below freezing is cold.
I would agree -30 could be a wee bit cold for Woodpeckers. How about I feed them for awhile and send them on up to you when things warm up a bit? I will take pictures and share them!
Brr....
Sending warm and cozy thoughts your way.
