Dear Mary c., Yes! It is a female Ruby Throated. The male comes too but the female and I seem to have more eye to eye time. She also nectars in the Weiglia as does her offspring. Thank you! I will do a Hummingbird slide show for my digi-photo frame. I have many Hummingbird photos. Sherry
Dear Deb, Thank you!! I thought these looked rather "dreamy"! It is to be hot and humid again today. I will need to get water out for the birds and butterflies. Maybe Miss Hummer will try the pretty bird bath, the Sparrows like it. If I get a photo of Miss Hummer in the bird bath it would be a photo out of my dreams! Sherry
Dear Mary, Thank you! I have missed you. Glad life is calming down a bit for you. I always hope Corner is a retreat. A place to come and for a few minutes the cares of the world melt away into the beauty of the birds and butterflies. Bird and bug reports are fun for me to do too! Sherry
Dear Mary, Never too many Marys! You are East Coast Mary for me! I take lots of photos of this Hummingbird. She is the one that perches up in the mornings near me. I liked her in the Bergamont, the colors were so nice.... I like the photos of the birds in the trees and on the flowers! If it is a new to the yard species I just like clear photos! Rain and cool down is on the way for us hope some is coming to you. Sherry
Dear Sprite, So far these ar emy favorite hummingbird photos this year. I am waiting to print. Maybe, just maybe, Miss Hummingbird will use the pretty bird bath and I will get a photo of her in the water! That would be a print and frame. Sherry

Is that a female ruby-throated? As always, beautiful photos.
Your photos are a dream in themselves!
As always your blog is such a pleasure to visit. What a lovely gift you give to all of us!
Do we have enough Marys here?
It's nice to see a female on a flower instead of a feeder. Great job, Sherry!

OK - a West Coast Mary and an East Coast Mary. :) Any mid-west or Rocky Mtn Marys out there? :)
Dear Kate,
Thank you! You and your Mum just made my day.
I did like this series.
