Hi Deb, Thank you! My husband worked today so I was home alone with the potato salad! Hot and humid until around 4pm when a nice thundershower blew in. The temps drop twenty degrees in half an hour. I like the idea of a wet July! Sherry
Hi Mary C. The white flower is Queen Ann's Lace and the blue is a verbena (SP?)in a hanging planter I have out in the Red Bud tree. I have flags and such but thought a simple post today would be best. Stay safe! Happy 4th. Sherry
Dear Sheila, Thank you! The Queen Ann's Lace is my favorite wild flower. I have a few stands of it. Years ago, when the children were small, we would walk to the woods and cut some for our July 4th table. I did the different colored waters and the blooms would turn red and blue. It was pretty and the kids and I had fun. I keep hoping a butterfly will find the Queen Ann's and I will get a photo! I think a Black Swallowtail would look so pretty perched up! Sherry
Happy 4th Mary, Thank you. I did a post last year on Lady Liberty. I had done some reasearch on fireworks last year too. This year I am being simple. I wanted a relaxed day. I read and enjoyed a phone call with my daughter. Hope you also enjoyed your day. Sherry
