Dear Saucy,
Learning the leaves is nice. It means I can id without the flowers.
My heart shaped bed is planted with an Eastern Redbud and underplanted with spring bulbs. I have been looking for a heart shaped summer ground cover and when I found the wild ginger I was very pleased. It is a herb and a perennial. It grows low to the ground and the bulbs will still be able to come up through it in the spring.
Leaves are very cool!

Dear Jayne,
I cry sometimes when I see a butterfly! A bird song can tear me right up! I maybe a bit touched...
Oh well, they still take my Visa!
Hearts and flowers to you,
Sherry

Dear tumblewords,
I threw in a little "me" this time!
I do lots of bird and butterfly reports. Sometimes it is nice to get personal.
Thank you.

Dear Mari-Nanci,
I often fall in love with a plant because of it's leaves.

Dear Chris,
Leaves are so interesting. Years ago I did leaf art. I did the photo sensitive papers and arranged leaves on it and left it out in the summer sun. It was fun.
Glad you enjoyed this leaf post!

Sherry Honey,

You do indeed wear your heart on your sleeve, and I do believe you are touched too, hehe. Aren't we all a bit touched?

I love this post so much! I also wanted to mention, isn't the Catalpa leaf heart shaped too? I love the ones down by the Nelson Art Gallery, and have watched them bloom every spring for years! They are just magnificent.

Love you beyond the trees,

Dear Deb,
I seem to be drawn to the heart shaped leafed plants! I have more than just the four I posted.
We do love our plants!

Dear Sprite,
Oh yes, my heart breaks and is remended rather often! I do experience life rather intensely.
Yesterday I walked at the cemetery across the street from my house and spent some quality time with a Catalpa Tree. I think the leaves are rather heart shaped...
I did post on my walk on Walking in Beauty yesterday. Very interesting you would mention the Catalpa Tree!
They are very beautiful...
Next spring I hope to still be walking each morning and I will do a trees in bloom post. That will be very fun. I will make a note of it.
I pretended today, when I was with another tree on my morning walk, I had a tree house. I would like one.
Butterfly kisses,
Sherry
