Pearl Crescent

The Pearl Crescent
is a small orange and black butterfly
common east of the Rocky Mountains.

Time to move the water again.

I wonder if there is a butterfly group?

Like birders are there butterfliers?

Oh Sherry,

The light through the wings is so beautiful.

And would you look at that antenna? They are so awesome. I don't think I have ever noticed this before.

Dear Sprite,
These are very pretty butterflies. I watched one chase the Tiger Swallowtail yesterday!
I think I want to join the Lepidoptera Society, butterfly people group. Maybe I can find a group that meets close to me. I have questions.
I want to ask someone where are the Zebra Swallowtails?
Will Zebras find my Paw-paw bush? How many spice bushes do I need for a nice Spicebush Swallowtail colony?
Today I will remove some volunteer plants and make room for some host plants. Some would call it weeding..

Dear Jayne,
so far I have not found a group in my area. I will keep looking.
It would be nice to butterfly hunt with others sometimes. My backyard is good but the social aspect of other butterfliers would be fun. I would like to exchange information.
Butterfly talk, bird speak, herbs and blooms, back to native, all fun to do and talk about.
Thank you! Having Corner and you to share with is grand.
