I just do not know if I will work on birds in flight
or birds perched.
or the little Junco?
I am thinking I will submit a photo for the Backyard Bird Count photo contest.

I do not know how many photos one can send in. It would be nice to be able to send 3 or 4 that way I could tell a story.

Oh thanks! I really like the Hairy Woodpecker in flight photo. It was somewhat hard to get too!
I had to anticipate when Hairy would take off. I took my photo a second sooner so I could actually get him flying and in focus. I love the way they fly and the way their wings are all black and white.
Right now it is my favorite shot of the day.

The way Mocking Bird is acting today I may only have Mocking Bird photos for tomorrow and Monday! He has chased all the birds away!
He and the front yard Mocking Bird are mating. No other bird is allowed in the yard, front or back. I think these two need to take this to the cemetary!
