Blank Canvas

November is packed away. We are decorating outside today. The mums from the window boxes are planted in the ground.
Pine boughs and pine cones from the front pine trees will stay in the boxes until March. I will replace the suet as needed. The wooden pomegranates are only for December. I can add strings of cranberries and popcorn for the birds later.
The front porch is finished. The found mitten tree could use a found hat and more gloves and mittens.

Your window boxes look lovely! I love the idea of having the suet baskets in them. I have a very similar little sleigh that we put by the front door - so sweet.

Hi Deb,
I just love to decorate! We have had that sled for so many years! The tapestry ribbon is about five years old now. It is fabric and holds up nicely in the weather.

The birds will come up to the windows for the suet cakes. I hope to get some up close photos. The squirrels will stay away too as they do not go after the suet.
One year I did bird seed bells in the window boxes. They were charming. The squirrels loved them and I was chasing them out of the window boxes all of December! The birds never had a chance to even get a taste.
I change the front porch out every month.
Life is fun!
