Out for lunch

I am going out for lunch today.
I am meeting my friend.
We will chat about her holiday and mine.

We will giggle.
We will sigh.
We will share our story.
We are very different.
She visits museums and art galleries.
I visit forests and sea shores.
When she tells her story I learn about the artist way.
When I tell mine she learns about the naturalist.
We are old friends.
We honor each other's path.

Hello Mon@rch,
I have so many Monarchs in my yard right now. I think of you when I see them. Being eye to eye with friends is a treat for me! My friends work outside of their homes and have families to care for. We seldom get by ourselves time.
Lots of butterflies were nectaring when I came home. My husband thought I best get some pictures so I took another 50 of tiger Swallowtails and Monarchs and Black Swallowtails and....
These are Autumn butterfly days. I am aware that in a couple of months they will be gone until spring. I will miss them.

Hello Barbara,
Friends do not have to have any thing in common but a kind and caring heart! My friend and I had so much fun having lunch and doing some shopping.
I saw you had taken a photo of what looks like an Eastern Tailed-blue butterfly! I was so excited when I saw it.
My husband and I picked up 10 Spice bushes this evening so we will be planting tomorrow. These are host plants for the Spicebush Swallowtail butterfly. I hope they grow into a hedge and the spicebush Swallowtail finds me again.
Thank you,
Sherry

What a lovely thing... to be so very different and yet compliment one another so well with what each of you brings to the friendship. Beautiful shots, as usual, Sherry!

Dear Jayne,
I so enjoyed visiting with my friend. She is changing her home's colors, adding more reds. She has always decorated in the blues. I am also changing my home's colors, I am adding more blues, removing some of the reds. We shopped together. Many of the gift shops have Halloween up. We both love Halloween. I was inspired! Decorating for October is very fun to do.

Sherry,

I have "opposite" friends, too. But we do compliment one another - keep each other straight.

While you are removing reds for blues, I already removed blues years ago and replaced with reds. Oh well!

XO
Mary

Dear Mary,
I like "opposite" friends. I learn so much from them. My friend also loves hats and we often will hat shop together. We did see some hand made hats that are just grand. I am thinking about one named, "Claire". I loved the idea this hatter named her hats.
I decorate every month! Lots of new colors and such. I usually have blues up in May and June. This year I left some of those blues up. I am trying to find a "blue" for every month too.
My reds are still about just not as many.
Yellow is my favorite color!
