First Snow of the Season

A gathering of Cardinals began as the snow was falling. At one time I counted five females and six males on the deck or the feeding station.
I am processing the photos.
The females are elegant.
Forecast for my area is 6-10 inches of snow tonight.

We are in the midst of a rain storm ~ with the threat of freezing rain ... no snow yet. The red cardinals look stunning against the snowy backdrop.

Hi Lavender,
"Let it snow" as long as every one is safe and provisions have been put up.
Now is the time of year so many people are stressed I hope the Four Agreements help create more smiles.
Carolina Wren is so joyful! I thought a series of those photos would be nice.
I take lots of Wren pictures. I think I like these Wrens as much as the Hummers this past summer.
Sending you "Delightful December Days."

Hi Deb,
Oh dear, freezing rain is hard on plants and birds and people!
Blessing to you and yours as you travel about in your city.
The gathering of
Cardinals was and is incredilble. I have never seen so many at one time.
The falling snow made for interesting background and foreground.
I do think the Cardinals in the snow are pretty. I like the Chick-a-dees too. Oh, I like the Doves and always the Wrens.....

I like them all!
