Always Near

She lives far away.
She is near the Pacific Ocean.
I miss seeing my daughter.

She remembered Mother's Day.
She sent a present.
She sent a "I believe in you."
She sent a place for me to write
my personal almanac.

She made her card.
She wrote an haiku.

new iris buds break
into blossom-
swallowtail's home
I think of my mom.
I think of my daughter.
There she is.
She is only a thought away.

Sherry,

I know how you feel about your daughter living so far away. Mine was away for seven years.

She sounds like a special girl and very lucky, too, to have a Mom such as you.

Dear Mary,
We do miss them sometimes. It is a nice feeling, in a way.
My goal always was for the children to grow up and find their way. I am pleased my daughter lives where she wants to rather than near Mom. We are near in many ways.
I get to visit and see her sights and her birds!

What a gorgeous card from your daughter!

Dear Deb,
My daughter is so talented as is yours! I think I will use her card as the book mark for my Journal.

Hello Q. Life does go full circle :-) I moved away from my parents and now our sons have moved away from us! It is life but a special friend told me we give our children wings so they can fly. The important thing is that they feel near and know they can always come back :-) I always get a thrill when they phone and say 'Mum, how do I .......' :-)

Dear Chris,
So true! Fly and enjoy!
It is nice too when I can call them and ask how to do something. My daughter is my internet support person. She can do all sorts of things.
She also is the one who supports all my creative efforts.

I cannot always find my way back to the pages in the blogs i visit to see if there is a response to my comments.
I would not want to miss a note from you
so
write me on my blog or perhaps we can email from time to time.
Your blog is one of my Favorites.

I shall visit you more often and respond/comment.
E-mailing would be fun too.
