Waiting for rain

The storms keep going around us.

We need rain.

I put water out for the birds and the butterflies.
I have watered all the deck pots.

I am waiting for rain.

Hello Q. It is taking me sometime to catch up on all these beautiful posts. Visiting your blog is like coming home and resting :-) I am pleased you and your birds are doing so well.

Hi Sherry - I'm waiting again for clear skies and warm air. Your bird and butterfly photos are so wonderful.
Have you checked artwork on my other site? There are several links on my main blog that will lead you to a variety of art/photo styles. Sometimes, it's fun to add a little something extra! Sometimes, NOT! Grin. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Chris,
From your photos it looks as if you had a grand time in Rome!
Wow, what a nice Holiday.
Your gardens look as if they did fine while you were gone too.
The birds, butterflies and I are doing fine. I need to keep on the gardens. I seem to be way slow at getting things done these days.
The birds take lots of my looking at time!
Glad you are home, safe and sound!

Hi Tumblewords,
I will check out your other site. Was not aware you had one!
I do like to mix things up now and again.
Always a delight to read your poetry and see your art work.

Rain, the most refreshing thing after a warm spell. The garden always looks better after a good rain, the sprinkler just doesn't do it.

Hi Sheila,
I so agree! Seems as if I am always waiting for rain. I still have lots of seed to sow and would love for the ground to be moist when I do the next bed.
I also am waiting for the Indigo Bunting to return! I was talking with my daughter on the telephone when a male flew in. He looked about and flew on. Came back about an hour later and flew off again. No photos and he did not stop for seed. Do so hope he returns and tries some of the tasty treats I have. He could bring lots of his friends and mates. I have never had a Bunting in my yard before so I was very pleased.

Boy, aren't we all? It's bone dry here as well. I can't keep the birdbath full enough. Praying for some slow, steady rain...

We're waiting for rain, too. Promised rain today and tomorrow. It will probably follow the river. It usually does! Well...that sounded a bit whiney, didn't it!

Have a wonderful holiday weekend.

So I hear I'm not the only one who is all dried up. We need to start chanting.

Dear Jayne,
When the rains do come we will be so pleased.
I have also been trying to keep all the water spots full.

Dear Pat,
No-no, not whiney at all. When we need rain, we NEED rain! For some reason the last few rain storms have gone around us. I like about an inch a week. LOL!
Happy Memorial Day weekend to you too.
