I have been seeing a different Wren. I have been hearing a different Wren.
Today this Wren wanted me to get to know him.
To identify I need a good tail photo.
The Carolina Wren is very similar. Bewick's Wren has the tail feathers with the white corners and is a wee bit smaller. The song of the Bewick's is different too.
Hi Jayne, Bewick's is little bit smaller than Carolina. Much different song too. I was not 100% sure so I waited for my husband to see the phot and agree. Bird Id can be very hard. Still no Buntings for my backyard. I may go hiking to see if I can spot a few. Sherry
Hi Deb, I had to wait a bit for Bewick's to turn and give me the tail shot. I did get tickled! Wrens are so cute and happy sounding. Your birds are all returning too and singing their sweet songs to you! Sherry

How cool Sherry! I've never seen a Bewick's either.
