If I were a tree

I wonder which one I would be.

A Maple

or an Oak?
Perhaps I would be the Yellow Ash
or the Honey Locust.

I am learning my trees.
There are many.
With birds, clouds, and all sorts of critters that crawl: stars, bees and butterfly wings
I have lots to learn.

Hello Q. Which one would you like to be :-) I think I would like to be a Willow, takes root easily, very flexible and can mess with your drains :-)

Hi Jayne,
I too am not very good at tree id.
I would like to learn the different types that grow in my area by leaf and bark and form.
I saw a field guide for trees of Missouri that I am thinking about getting. I have a "Trees of North America" but it is too big to do the quick, on the road identify, I would like to do.
Thank you. I do like taking pictures of trees. It would be fun to do my own tree id book.

Dear NG,
Green Man-Woman stuff! The colors are wonderful. I like them best on cloudy days, or when I am under a newly leafed out tree and the sun is dabbled.
I agree so many wonderful trees.
Thank goodness. We need trees.

Dear Chris,
I am never sure what tree I would be! The Willow is a delight. Beautiful too. When my son was young one of our neighbors took down a huge Willow that was 75+ years old. My son became very angry with our neighbor.
I love the way a Willow sways in the wind.
