The potatoes are blooming.
We planted many different varieties.
When he was on the posing ball I just had to take a few photos.
He is tiny, only 5 inches from head to tail.
The Baltimore and the Orchard Orioles come and go all day.
They do like their jellies.

I agree, Sherry. The Chipping Sparrow is my favorite, too. They are so small and sweet - with a sweet sound, too. They visit my feeders now and then.
I have ORANGES everywhere, waiting for that Oriole... I need to research them and see if they come close to Charlotte.
I had a vague idea of what potato blossoms look like. But thank you for refreshing my memory.

Isn't it wonderful when you see evidence that there are true, growing things in the garden? Seeing that hard work start to come to fruition? My husband races straight outside the second he comes home to see what's sprouted or bloomed while he's been at work.

It is uplifting to know food is being grown and so far no critter has eaten it!
I hope we have some green beans to go with the potatoes this year. Last year a ground hog ate the green bean plants! I replanted seeds but they never did very well.
Not only do I think potato blooms are beautiful as blooms but also beautiful as hope for food to come.
I also go out and check what's in bud and what has sprouted very day.
