Rose-Breasted Grosbeak

The light was fading
I heard a Robin like song. I saw the Rose-Breasted Grosbeak.
This is the first time I have ever seen one.
The Grosbeaks migrate and are late spring arrivals.
A May Day arrival.

Hi Mary,
I just never know when I will be posting!! It all depends on Mother Nature and what she presents in any given day.
I was very excited to see the Grosbeak. I only really was able to get the one shot. Maybe he will come back for a tasty treat!

Dear Nature Girl,
I started keeping a monthly list of all the different birds that come to call. It is very fun to see a new bird. My husband says not all the birds can come here so we might have to venture forth some more. I seem to have about thirty different species each month. Some come in for a week than fly on North or South. I have become a stop over for weary birds.
I have not seen the Baltimore Orioles now for two days. My Husband said even grape jelly will not keep a bird when he is hunting for a mate.
Looking forward to more Arizona photos. When I was there it was November and not much was in bloom.
Spring time in the desert is fantastic. Thank you for posting your beautiful photos. If I can not be there seeing your photos is best!

Dear Jayne,
Your photos of the birds that come to your Georgia home are lovely!
I have the same Feeding Station that you have from Wild Birds Unlimited. I am going to set up the small tray I have for meal worms tomorrow only I will put the safflower seed in. When I put the meal worms out the Mocking Birds become very agressive! I think I will work towards getting the long hanging holder for more seed trays too. I did not see the Grosbeak today, hope he is still in my neighborhood!
