White-Breasted Nuthatch

I have been hearing the White-breasted Nuthatch.
This morning I saw her!
She is a small bird, 5-6 inches (13-15 cm).
I have seen the Nuthatch before in the wild areas.
This is the first time I have seen one at the feeders.

These birds are year round residents.
Maybe the Nuthatches would like to join the backyard bird family.

Hi Jayne,
I am so excited. The Nuthatch comes and goes just like all the other birds now. I saw her off and on all day yesterday and again today in the rain.
I think I will get another nut feeder. So many of the birds like it. I refill it a couple times a day.
The White-breasted Nuthatch is so pretty. In our area we also have the Red-breasted Nuthatch. It is a winter time bird.
