New Lavender Moon

Tonight, 23rd hour, 13th minute, the Moon will be new.
Last year I named June's New Moon the Lavender New Moon.
It is fitting. The lavender is in full bloom.

I will harvest some this morning. The rest I will let go to seed.

Today I am having a ceremony for all the plants that died this spring.
I am having a Roll Call Service.
I am honoring the plants.

I love lavender, I think it is one of my favourite flowers. Mum and I dry ours, and then fill sachets and pillows with the lavendar...it makes for a very relaxing sleep.

Your roll call service sounds wonderful...I only wish the flowers would all bloom at the same time so we could enjoy them in their glory all summer long!

Dear French Nest,
I think everyone has a herb that "speaks" to them.
Lavender speaks to me.
I use lavender for every aspect of my life.
I have saved lots from last year so I am okay not haveing a full harvest this year.
It is so comforting for me. To sit with my lavender is to be wrapped in the arms of the Angels!
I posted the Roll Call service on Walking in Beauty.

Dear Mary,
I have a piece of lavender with me right now!
I have been seen eating my lavender as if it was a lollipop!
Tasty.
Thank you.
Sherry, who does tributes and remembers.

Dear Deb,
I included your Jacobs Ladder in my remembrance time today.
We shall smell the lavender and know comfort.
