Sowing in the rain

I heard a clap of thunder.
The morning mist gave way to rain.
I grabbed my seeds.
I was ready.
I had my swimsuit on and a pair of shorts as my day wear.

It was raining, it was pouring, I was sowing.

Too many Dove feathers.

The Northern Harrier had found breakfast.

The scent of Jasmine filled the air.
I kept sowing.

I love the rain pic, Q. I have tried so many times to take similar pics of the raindrops on the pond or bird bath and fail everytime :-) You have captured it beautifully.

Dear Chris,
Thank you! I try to do something different when I post rain photos. I love the rain and today sowing in the rain was devine!
Having my hair rain washed was also very, very nice.

I love the rain too :-}... and cosmos. We planted a handful of seeds about 6 years ago and they sprout up all through the garden year after year. They are so lovely.

Ah rainy day. I either hate them or love them. Sat I was not happy to see the rain. I was in a mood to take a walk but had thunderstorm all afternoon. Sunday was a better day.

Hi Deb,
I also like cosmos! I have Bright Eyes in one bed and the butterflies really like them.
I thought I would try another variety in the back patio bed. The poppies are setting pods there now so the cosmos should take hold and be in bloom in August or September.
Hopefully they will reseed. I also will save some seed just in case!

Hi Cathy,
If you have had lots of rain some sunshine is so nice!
I think two days of rain a week is nice. I also like cloudy days. Some sunshine is good, the tomatoes need sun. I just cannot work out in the sun anymore. Even with my hat on I get too hot.
I like to work out in the summer rain, I like walking in the rain too...
The thundershowers can be frightening. I do understand the need to come in when the lighting is close by.

Hi Mary,
I just think in tiny little segments. A quick thought here and there. My day was mostly in and out of the rain sowing seeds.
I sorted my seed box and seed baskets and will keep on sowing. I save seed and buy seed and now I need to plant seed.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed this essay.
