Hi Sherry,Love the pictures especially the butterflies, isaw a hummingbird moth for the first time last year and i am hoping to get a shot of one this year, when they do appear they are a big thing and the local paper has stories of people thinking they have something exotic in their garden. Not sure if they will be here though as it hasnt stopped raining for over a week and on somedays we are getting a months worth in a few hours...oh joy
Cheers Mark
I haven't seen a Grasshopper in ages! Do you have many in your garden? The perfect start to Summer :-}
Dear Naturegirl,
I actuall think, "Ahh Grasshooper" just like Grandfather!
I liked that show very much.
Happy Solstice to you too.
Hugs and iced tea,
Sherry
Hi Mark,
Oh dear, too much rain!
The clearwings are so pretty. I was very pleased to have one in the gardens this early in the season.
I do not have lots in bloom so it was a joy to spend a good 20 minur=tes taking photos and watching him.
They do have fast wings like the hUmmingbirds.
They seem very exotic..

Hi Deb,
I had not seen one since last summer! This one was very tiny. Earlier today I saw a few more. Maybe they just "hatched"! Normally I have a few every year. I think birds eat them too.
They do say, "summer" to me too.

I'm with Deb. I haven't seen one since last year! I like them.
Dear Sprite,
So fun!
I thought tiny grasshopper was sooo
cute.
I am out looking for bugs! I heard the cicadas sing last night. Soon the Mantis will return...
Summertime and the living is easy.
Sherry
Hi Mary,
Grasshoppers are one of the "summertime" bugs I look for.
I like them too.
Sherry
