A House Rock

My son brought me a rock.
A house rock.

This was my Blue Moon gift.
I fixed a cup of flower tea in my tea posy.
I sat with my rock.
I wanted to get to know her.
Rock likes to sit in my lap.
Today I took my rock outside.
The clouds had parted.
I wanted to see my rock in the sun.

My son had left me information about my rock.
My rock is a turquoise amazonite.
It is soothing.
It is beautiful.

Such a great colour, and I imagine it would glint so prettily in the sun.
I have the same plates as you...with bugs and butterflies and bumble bees, aren't they lovely..??!!

What a beautiful color - my favorite color - especially since it's the color of my birthstone - turquoise. Enjoy your rock. :)

It's lovely. I've never heard of a house rock.

And how sweet of your son!

Hi Sheila,
I am wild for this color. So wild I am thinking about re-doing a bathroom in this color! This is unusual for me as I have all of my house in white.
I do like the dishes too!
In this pattern all I have is the dresser tray (I now use it for my desk and rock). My everyday dishes are Portmerion which also have bugs and flowers.

Hi Mary Carlson,
It is a color I want to look at all the time! Lately I have been so drawn to blues and greens and this rock just has the perfect blend of both! My husband thinks I can take rock in and have the paint store match the colro. If so I will be painting!

Hi Mari-Nanci,
I might have made up the idea of having a house rock! I will not put rock out in the garden as I want it near me!
My son loves rocks too.

Dear Naturegirl,
I have a few pieces of turquoise too. It is just a beautiful color.
Rock also has a calming effect on me when I hold her.
Nature is full of beautiful colors from the sky to the creatures and the rocks.
