It is zucchini time in the vegetable garden.

I had my morning coffee with the female Hummingbird.
I let my hair air dry, it took awhile.

A soft rain would be welcome here everything is drying quickly oh dear I can see my water bill this month!
My neighbor stuffs the zuccini flowers with a sausage mixture..do you! Oh those zuccini would make great bread! lovely images as ever! hugs NG
I would love a soft refreshing rain right now. Everything is crunchy underfoot. We are limited to watering on alternate days. I water flowers and the newer trees and shrubs, but not the lawn. It will go dormant and then bounce back quickly once we get rain.
I love the rain when plants are producing fruits and vegetables, you can almost watch them grow. Enjoy your zuchinni...yum..!
I see that NG has ask about cooking the zuchini blossoms. I've not done so, but we had friends who fried squash blossoms. They said they were very good.
A loaf of Zucchini bread would be wonderful!

Aren't the Rose of Sharon wonderful? We planted ours a few years ago and have found them sprouting all through the garden ...they remind me of little hollyhocks :-} Your zucchini are wonderful (I promise to post that zucchini/pear loaf recipe as it is so delicious). Morning coffee with the hummers sounds like a perfect way to start the day.

It is distressing when the rains are slow to come during the growing season. Watering is the best we can do!
I have eaten stuffed zucchini flowers before! I go ahead and let the flowers become fruits!
I do make zucchini bread! Lots of it! I make it as muffins for my husband. He takes two every morning. I shred the zukes and freeze in 2 cup zip lock bags. I need 25 bags to get me through the winter for his muffins.
We look forward to zucchini days!

Oh dear, you need rain too?! My husband told me Fortworth, Texas recieved 17 inches!! that is a lot of rain. Flooding I am sure.
You can watch them grow! It is amazing how some flowers will open in the rain! I watched the Morning Glories yesterday open up! I love that!

I do have a recipe for stuffed squash bloosoms. We eat very little "fried" although lots of stir fry!
The zucchini bread recipe I use I posted last year. I will see if it is in the archives.
I love the leaves of the zucchini plant. They are huge!
